THE HOLY TRINITY
Ordinary Time of Our Lord
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)
The role of the PPC is to support and advise the priest in a pastoral capacity so that the mission of the Church can be carried out more effectively. The PPC should be composed of a mixture of elected members and members nominated by the priest.
Members - Ashby-de-la-Zouch
Currently the expanded Finance Committee serves jointly as a PPC. It is desired that once the parishes have amalgamated that a distinct PPC and Finance Committee for the new parish will be established.
Members - Castle-Donington & Melbourne
Linda Wordsworth (chair), Rachel Hallam, Martin O'Dowd, Bernie O'Dowd, Jim Carty, Margaret Greaves, Gill Neilson, Izzy Winton, Ollie Greenwood, Paul Lightfoot
The Finance Committee
The role of the Finance Committee is to help ensure the good use and prudent management of the church's temporal good. It should meet at least 3 times a year. The Finance Committee is a mandatory body.
The Way Forward Team
The Role of the Way Forward Team is to facilitate the integration of the two parishes of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Melbourne and Castle-Donington into a single parish.
This includes pastoral and financial matters, and there is a natural cross-over between the PPCs and Finance Committees of both parishes
